I actually came for other food but entire place seems to be monopolize by Mookata.
Unable to find any table at all and i kinda pity the other stalls.
Asked the lady and she told me i would have, if i'm eating mookata.
Ok so here i started my mookata meal.
Overall wasn't too bad. U can skip their beef, it sucks.
Other meat were quite good.
Seafood is alright as well.
Very good business indeed as 85% of tables were having Mookata.
It's my first time here. I can't believe it. This is coffeshop and the cleanliness is superb. Food is super good especially the Peking duck. Skin is so so so crispy and the meat is so so juicy. Mookata is also very good. Must go with the San Char soft drink after the food.
Nowadays, wherever I go to eat, the prices have increased. I find the food portion to be okay. I've been eating at this restaurant for more than 5 years but I've never been disappointed. The staff is enthusiastic and cute. It's very good.
I just ate today and paid with paynow 👍
Went on a Friday evening & was really crowded. Lots of other stalls were opened too & the coffeeshop has been recently re-renovated.
Portion for 2 pax was ok. Meat was well marinated but could be improved. I love the sliced chicken thigh the most. Beef was so so. Still prefer the mookata before they renovate.
Excellent service from one of the elder lady staff. She was very caring, paying attention to details & warm towards us. She also revealed that the broth uses sweet corn for a natural sweetness. A delicate staff is hard to find nowadays. For this we give 5* to their service.
The atmosphere was a little messy. Crowded with lots of customers, probably due to the recent re-renovation where there's lots of new stalls. You will have to queue outside the coffeeshop (under the shelter) for the mookata.
Hoping my next try would be a 4*
Value for money. Gets Crowded fast so come early. Beef is tough so I will skip for next visit. We ordered too much as some items portions for 2 are quite large.
Update on 03 sep 21
Food quality has improved with new items.
Been there today of my friend birthday and they open by 12pm onwards 10pm we ordered steamboat, 5pax per table and the auntie who attend us was so friendly and helpful and the price is reasonable.. the place quite crowded the time and all the tables occupied so better come early..
Visited on a Saturday evening, short queue so was seated quite quickly.
Ordered the 2 pax set & added 1 meat, 1 veg, 1 tanghoon & 1 cuttlefish and bill came up to $30. Loved the marinated meats, looks plain but so flavourful! Veg and mushroom all very clean!
Everything feels very clean and well prepared though at a coffeeshop. Will revisit this outlet instead of the others I've been to!
Went at around 6pm and there are only a few tables occupied. More people came thereafter. The menu consists of 2 stalls. Ordered about 10dishes from the mookata stall and cost about $22. The cooked dishes from another stall costs about $11. Service was fast. Serving was not alot. Soup was bland. Pork belly was nice. Meat is quite marinated. I think the standard has dropped though. Not as nice as expected so will not return again.
